226 - ذَمُّ التَّبذِيرِ

226. Censure of Squandering

(وَآتِ ذَا القُرْبى‏ حَقَّهُ وَالمِسْكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَلا تُبَذِّرْ تَبْذِيراً * إِنَّ الْمُبَذِّرِينَ كانُوا إِخْوَانَ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِرَبِّهِ كَفُوراً) .¹

"Give the relatives their [due] right, and the needy and the traveller [as well], but do not squander wastefully. Indeed the wasteful are brothers of satans, and Satan is ungrateful to his Lord." ²

750.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام : كُنْ سَمْحاً ولا تَكُنْ مُبَذِّراً ، وكُنْ مُقَدِّراً ولا تَكُنْ مُقَتِّراً .³

750.Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Be liberal, but do not squander; and be calculating, but do not be parsimonious.' ⁴

751.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام : التَّبذيرُ عُنوانُ الفاقةِ .⁵

751.Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Squandering is the epitome of destitution.' ⁶

752.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام : التّبذيرُ قَرِينٌ مُفْلِسٌ .⁷

752.Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Squandering is a penniless companion.' ⁸

753.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام : مَنِ افْتَخَر بالتَّبذيرِ احتُقِرَ بالإفْلاسِ .⁹

753.Imam Ali (AS) said, 'A man who takes pride in squandering will be humiliated by bankruptcy.' ¹⁰
