Nat’l Quran and Hadith Contest Planned for Seminarians

The 5th edition of the national Quran and Hadith contest for seminary students will be held in April, director of Quran and Etrat Section of Seminaries said.

IQNA: HujjatulIslam Ali Mughni told IQNA that the contest will be organized in provincial and national stages for male seminarians.

The students will compete in various categories including the Holy Quran interpretation, Quranic teachings, Hadith, Quran recitation, Tahqeeq and Tarteel recitation and memorization of the Holy Quran’s verses and Hadiths.

The director said that the provincial stage of the contest will be held on March 6 in memorization of 1 Juz, 5, and 10 Juzes and recitation and Tarteel categories.

The holy city of Qom will host the final stage of the competition in these categories on April 18.

The center of provinces all over the country will simultaneously hold the competition in oral and written forms.

He added that the preliminary stage of the competition in memorization of 20 and 30 Juzes of the Holy Quran and Tahqeeq recitation will be held in the holy city the same day.

Winners of the provincial stage in these categories will attend the final stage of the contest on May 8 and 9.

Participants in Quran interpretation, Hadith teachings and Hadith memorization categories will compete on April 24.

The competition will be supervised by internationally known judges of Quranic contests.
