Female Quran Activists to Be Honored

Head of the Women's Committee of the 31st edition of Iran's International Quran Competition said 14 female Quran activists will be honored on the sidelines of the competition.

 Ma’soumeh Farzaneh said that the women will be honored at the fifth edition of the forum to be organized to honor Quranic women on May 28, Tasnim News Agency reported.

The women selected to be honored have been actively involved in various fields of research, art, propagation, charity affairs, judgment in Quran contests, and management of Quranic affairs.

She added that the forum will begin with a speech by Hojat-ol-Islam Seddiqi, interim Friday prayers leader of Tehran.

More than 2500 female Quran activists are expected to participate at the program, slated to be held at the city’s International Summit Conference Hall.

Farzaneh also stated that the female Quranic activists have shown their capabilities to create noble and lasting works in Quranic arenas.
