According to the public relations office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the book which includes Allameh Tabatabais writings and his discussions with French scholar Henry Corbin was published in 214 pages in Italian.

It is a translation of the Persian copy of the book published by the Association of Wisdom and Philosophy in Tehran.

Alireza Jalali and Mona Rezvan have translated the book from Persian to Italian and Iman Basiri has edited the translation.

Allameh Tabataba’i played an influential role in the revival of Shia philosophy and Quran interpretation and trained eminent figures in philosophical-jurisprudential fields.

He developed discourse between Shiism and other schools of thought which resulted in the introduction of Shia teachings to the West.

The collection of Allameh’s discussions with Professor Hery Corbin, prominent French orientalist, is an example of the cultural-religious discourse.

In his letters to the French scholar, Allameh Tabataba’i provided answers to Corbin’s questions about Shia school of thought, clarifying the formation of the school, its principles and sciences as well as the wrong beliefs about Shiism.

The book is considered as a valuable source of research in Islamic philosophical issues particularly for the scholars at Islamic studies departments in Italy.
