IBNA- Author of the book ‘Translation of Quran, Theoretical Approach and Applied Study (From Words to Sentences)’ Ahmad Packatchi has listed about 850 translations of Quran into Persian for readers, until the Iranian Revolution.

According to IBNA correspondent, the thirty-seventh meeting of the Book Review House was held at Iran’s House of Literati (Sara ye Ahl-e-Qalam) on May 27, 2015.

The event was centered on reviewing the book ‘Translation of Quran, Theoretical Approach and Applied Study (From Words to Sentences)’, written by Ahmad Pakatchi (PhD), faculty member of Imam Sadeq (SA) University, in the presence of Azartash Azarnoush (PhD), scholar of Arab literature and the professor at the faculty of theology of Tehran University, And Farzan Sojoudi (PhD), assistant Professor at the Department of Theater and Film of Tehran Art University.

Azartash Azarnoush started the meeting, saying: “The book ‘Translation of the Holy Quran; Theoretical Approach and Applied Study (From Words to Sentences)’ is not written for the general public, and this is considered a great weakness of the book, or rather its advantage, as it only takes an active mind to read it.”

In his speech, Pakatchi said that about 850 translations of Quran into Persian for readers, until the Islamic Revolution had been published and after the victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution in 1979, over 300 new translations of the Quran into Persian has been carried out.

The other expert, Farzan Sojudi said in his part that ‘Translation of the Holy Quran….’ has been written precisely and meticulously drawing on many valuable sources. On the other hand the book has a clear theoretical and linguistic framework with the consideration of rhetorical techniques and semantic levels.”
