The “Quran and Hadith Teachings” category of Al-Mustafa University’s international Quranic festival for expatriate seminary students has concluded.
Hujjatulislam Yusef Mohammadi, the vice-president of the organizing committee of the festival, told IQNA that the registration for the international competition was held from October 3 to November 6.
He said that the students participated in the categories of Quran and Hadith teachings, Quran and Hadith studies, Quran and Hadith memorization, Quran recitation, memorization of Nahj al-Balaqa and Sahifa Sajjadiyya, Adhan, essay writing, translation, weblog, etc.
The participants in the Quran and Hadith teachings category competed from November 17 to 19 and competitions in the written section have been underway since November 19, he added.
The sources for the written section of the festival have been selected from among works by Grand Ayatullah Makarem Shirazi and Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli.
“Religious Intellectuality and Modern Negligence” is the motto of this edition of the festival.
The main objective of the festival is to train experts who will play influential role in religious and cultural fields and disseminate the teachings of Quran and Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
