40. THE PURGATORY (al-barzakh)
231 - مَعنَى البَرْزَخِ
231. The meaning of The Purgatory
(وَمِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ بَرْزَخٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ) .1
"And ahead of them is a barrier until the day they will be resurrected" 2

762.الإمامُ الصّادقُ عليه السلام : واللَّه ، أتَخَوَّفُ علَيكُم في البَرزَخِ ! قلتُ : وما البَرْزخُ ؟ قالَ : القَبرُ ، مُنذُ حينِ مَوتِهِ إلى يومِ القيامةِ .3
762.Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, 'By Allah! I fear for you the barzakh!' He was asked, 'What is the barzakh?' He replied, 'The grave, from the day one dies until the Day of Judgment.' 4
