Nobility

Whoever honours his brother honours Allah indeed.

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله :  إنّ اللَّهَ تَعالى‏ كريمٌ يُحِبُّ الكَرَمَ . كنز العمّال : 15991 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Allah, most High is Generous and He loves the generous.' Kanz al-Ummal, no. 15991

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله :  كَرَمُ الرجُلِ دِينُهُ . مسند ابن حنبل : 3 / 292 / 8782 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'A man's nobility is his religion.' Musnad Ibn Hanbal, v. 3, p. 292, no. 8782

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله :  أكرِمُوا كريمَ كُلِّ قَومٍ . بحار الأنوار : 46 / 15 / 33 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Honour the generous of every race of people.' Bihar al-Anwar, v. 46, p. 15, no. 33

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله :  إنّ مِن عِظَمِ جَلالِ اللَّهِ تعالى‏ إكرامُ ثلاثةٍ : ذِي الشَّيبَةِ في الإسلامِ ، والإمامِ العادِلِ، وحامِلِ القرآنِ غيرِ الغالي ولا الجافي عَنهُ . بحار الأنوار : 92 / 184 / 21 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Honouring three people is glorifying the Magnitude of Allah: a Muslim of old age, a just leader, and one who has memorised the Quran, who is neither an extremist with regard to it, nor has he shunned it [practicing it] aside.' Bihar al-Anwar, v. 92, p. 184, no. 21

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله : مَن كانَ يُؤمِنُ باللَّهِ واليَومِ الآخِرِ فَليُكرِمْ جَليسَهُ . كنز العمّال : 25490 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Whoever believes in Allah and the Hereafter should honour the people he sits with.' Kanz al-Ummal, no. 25490

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله : إذا أتاكُم الزّائرُ فَأكرِمُوهُ . كنز العمّال : 25485 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'When a visitor comes to you honour him.' Kanz al-Ummal, no. 25485

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله : مَن أكرَمَ أخاهُ فإنّما يُكرِمُ اللَّهَ . كنز العمّال : 25488 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Whoever honours his brother honours Allah indeed.' Kanz al-Ummal, no. 25488

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله :  بالدّاخِلِ دَهشَةٌ فَتَلَقَّوهُ بِمَرحَباً . كنز العمّال : 25499 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'When one enters a place he is taken aback, so receive him with a welcome.' Kanz al-Ummal, no. 25499

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله : مَن أخَذَ بِرِكابِ رَجُلٍ لا يَرجُوهُ ولا يَخافُهُ غُفِرَ لَهُ . كنز العمّال : 25501 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Anyone who takes the stirrup of a person [in order to assist him], neither from hope of a reward from him thereof, nor from fear of him will be forgiven.' Kanz al-Ummal, no. 25501

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله : أكرِمُوا أولادَكُم وأحسِنُوا أدَبَهُم . سنن ابن ماجة : 2 / 1211 / 3671 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Be kind to your children and teach them good manners.' Sunan Ibn Maja, p. 3671

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله : أكرِمِ اليَتيمَ ، وأحسِنْ إلى‏ جارِكَ . مسند ابن حنبل : 5 / 281 / 15500 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Be kind to orphans and be good to your neighbour.' Musnad Ibn Hanbal, v. 5, p. 281, no. 15500

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله :  اِقبَلُوا الكرامَةَ ، وأفضَلُ الكرامَةِ الطِّيبُ ، أخَفُّهُ مَحمِلاً وأطيَبُهُ رِيحاً . بحار الأنوار : 77 / 164 / 190 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Accept generosity [in the form of a gift], and the best of generosity is perfume; it is light to carry and has a fragrant scent.' Bihar al-Anwar, v. 77 p. 164 no. 190

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله :  إذا عُرِضَ على‏ أحَدِكُمُ الكرامَةُ فلا يَرُدَّها ؛ فإنّما يَرُدُّ الكرامَةَ الحِمارُ . قرب الاسناد : 92 / 307 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'If one of you is treated kindly do not reject it. Indeed, it is the donkey that rejects kindness.' Qurb al-Isnad, p. 92 no. 307

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله :  مِن تَكرِمَةِ الرجُلِ لأخيهِ المُسلمِ أن يَقبَلَ تُحفَتَهُ ، أو يُتحِفَهُ مِمّا عِندَهُ ولا يَتَكَلَّفَ شيئاً . النوادر للراوندي : 107 / 87 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'A man's honouring of his Muslim brother entails accepting his gift, or for him to give him something of what he owns without burden [troubling himself].' Nawadir al-Rawandi, p. 11

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله :  أنا أكرَمُ وُلْدِ آدمَ على‏ رَبِّي ، ولا فَخرَ . سنن الترمذي : 5 / 585 / 3610 .

 The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'I am the most honourable of the children of Adam to my Lord, without pride.' Sunan al-Tirmidhi, p. 3610
