اللَّهُمَّ دَاحَيَ الْمَدْحُوَّاتِ،
My God, the Spreader of the surfaces (of earth)
وَدَاعِمَ الْمَسْمُوكَاتِ،
and Keeper (intact) of all skies,
وَجَابِلَ الْقُلُوبِ عَلَى فِطْرَتِهَا: شَقِيِّهَا وَسَعِيدِهَا.
Creator of hearts on good and evil nature,
اجْعَلْ شَرَائِفَ صَلَوَاتِكَ، وَنَوَامِيَ بَرَكَاتِكَ، عَلَى مُحَمَّد عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُولِكَ،
send Thy choicest blessings and growing favours on Muhammad Thy servant and Thy Prophet
الْخَاتمِ لِمَا سَبَقَ،
who is the last of those who preceded (him)
وَالْفَاتِحِ لِمَا انْغَلَقَ،
and an opener for what is closed,
وَالْمُعْلِنِ الْحَقَّ بِالْحَقِّ،
proclaimer of truth with truth,
وَالدَّافِعِ جَيْشَاتِ الاْباطِيلِ،
repulser of the forces of wrong
وَالدَّامِغِ صَوْلاَتِ الاْضَالِيلِ،
and crusher of the onslaughts of misguidance.
كَمَا حُمِّلَ فَاضْطَلَعَ،
As he was burdened (with responsibility of prophethood) so he bore it
قَائِماً بِأَمْرِكَ،
standing by Thy commands,
مُسْتَوْفِزاً فِي مَرْضَاتِكَ،
advancing towards Thy will,
غَيْرَ نَاكِل عَنْ قُدُم،
without shrinking of steps
وَلاَ وَاه فِي عَزْمِ،
of weakness of determination,
وَاعِياً لِوَحْيِكَ،
listening to Thy revelation,
حَافِظاً لِعَهْدَكَ،
preserving Thy testament,
مَاضِياً عَلَى نَفَاذِ أَمْرِكَ;
proceeding forward in the spreading of Thy commands
حَتَّى أَوْرَى قَبَسَ الْقَابِسِ،
till he lit fire for its seeker
وَأَضَاءَ الطَّرِيقَ لِلْخَابِطِ
and lighted the path for the groper in the dark.
وَهُدِيَتْ بِهِ الْقُلُوبُ بَعْدَ خَوْضَاتِ الْفِتَنِ،
Hearts achieved guidance through him after being ridden with troubles.
وَأَقَامَ مُوضِحاتِ الاْعْلاَمِ، وَنَيِّرَاتِ الاْحْكَامِ،
He introduced clearly guiding signs and shining injunctions.
فَهُوَ أَمِينُكَ الْمَأْمُونُ،
He is Thy trusted trustee,
وَخَازِنُ عِلْمِكَ الْمخْزُونِ،
the treasurer of Thy treasured knowledge,
وَشَهِيدُكَ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ،
Thy witness on the Day of Judgement,
وَبَعِيثُكَ بِالْحَقِّ،
Thy envoy of truth
وَرَسُولُكَ إِلَى الْخَلْقِ.
and Thy Messenger towards the people.
اللَّهُمَّ افْسَحْ لَهُ مَفْسَحاً فِي ظِلِّكَ،
My God prepare large place for him under Thy shade
وَاجْزِهِ مُضَاعَفَاتِ الْخَيْرِ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ .
and award him multiplying good by Thy bounty.
اللَّهُمَّ أَعْلِ عَلَى بِنَاءِ الْبَانِينَ بِنَاءَهُ،
My God, give height to his construction above all other constructions,
وَأَكْرِمْ لَدَيْكَ مَنْزِلَتَهُ،
heighten his position with Thee, grant perfection to his effulgence
وَأَتْمِمْ لَهُ نُورَهُ،
and perfect for him his light.
وَاجْزِهِ مِنَ ابْتِعَاثِكَ لَهُ مَقبُولَ الشَّهَادَةِ،
In reward for his discharging Thy prophetship, grant him that his testimony be admitted
مَرْضِيَّ المَقالَةِ، ذا مَنْطِق عَدْل،
and his speech be liked for his speech is just,
وخُطّة فَصْل.
and his judgements are clear-cut.
اللَّهُمَّ اجْمَعْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُ فِي بَرْدِ الْعَيشِ،
My God put us and him together in the pleasures of life,
وَقَرَارِ النِّعْمَةِ،
continuance of bounty,
وَمُنَى الشَّهَوَاتِ،
satisfaction of desires,
وَأَهْوَاءِ اللَّذَّاتِ،
enjoyment of pleasures.
وَرَخَاءِ الدَّعَةِ وَمُنْتَهَى الْطُمَأْنِينَةِ،
ease of living, peace of mind
وَتُحَفِ الْكَرَامَةِ
and gifts of honour.
