Quran Int’l Exhibit underway in Tehran

The 26th Quran International Exhibition which opened on Saturday is underway in ‎Tehrans Mosalla of Imam Khomeini.‎

According to IBNA correspondent quoting from the public relations department of the 26th Quran International Exhibition, the event was opened with the governmental officials including the Minister of culture and Islamic guidance Seyyed Abbas Salehi, and Quran experts in attendance.

In this edition, 29 special committees are involved in various scientific, artistic fields as well as issues related to the children, women and international affairs. Moreover, 20 international Quran activist institutes from seven countries are participating.

The exhibition is held in an area of 50,000 square meters and is held concurrently in 176 Iranian cities and towns. Over 60 special meetings, this screening of the documentary, short and animation films on subjects related to the holy Quran are among the other programs scheduled in the event.

Rare versions of Quran such as a book ascribed to the first Shi’a Imam Ali (AS), as well as the best translations or written comments about the holy book are on public display.

Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition is an annual event organized and held by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance during the holy month of Ramadan, aimed to introduce the Quranic achievements of Iran.
