In response, the author comes up with five factors: refinement of Shia traditions, lack of inter-religious conflicts, not including the weak traditions on fabricated hadith, the cultural self-censorship and little population of the Shia.

Ahl al-Bayt and the Gospels

The Gospels are the main parts of the Christian Bible which were referred to at the time of revelation of the Holy Quran and presence of the Holy Imams by Christians. Ahl al-Bayt, as a comprehensive treasury of Prophets’ knowledge, have mentioned some parts of the Bible in their hadiths and used them in their arguments against Christians. In this paper, the authors use these hadiths to clarify Ahl al-Bayt’s approach to the Gospels. Making a comparison between the Shia traditions and the current Gospels, they identify the genuine portions of the Gospels.

A Critical Analysis of Etan Kohlberg’s View on Shia Dissimulation Based on Shia Theology and Hadith

Etan Kohlberg is one of the most outstanding contemporary Orientalists studying Shiism. In his article entitled "Some Imami Shia Views on the Issue of Dissimulation”, he has described Imami approach to the concept of dissimulation using historical and hadith approach. His topics include a variety of theological historical and hadith issues in this field. The effects of dissimulation teachings on the Shia Hadith and delineation the border between Usuli and Akhbari scholars are two of these topics. In a self-made analysis, he has considered the forbiddance of using dissimulation in some ritual prayers as a result of the Imams’ sense of distinction.
