1233 - مَن يَنبَغي أن يُسمّى‏ عَدُوّاً

1233. ONE WHO MUST BE CONSIDERED AN ENEMY

(يا أيُّها الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إنَّ مِنْ أزْواجِكُمْ وَأوْلادِكُمْ عَدُوَّاً لَكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ وَإنْ تَعْفُوا وَتَصْفَحُوا وَتَغْفِرُوا فَإنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ) .¹

“O you who have faith! Indeed among your spouses and children you have enemies; so beware of them. And if you excuse, forbear and forgive, then Allah is indeed all-forgiving, all-merciful.”²

4028.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام: بَطنُ المَرءِ عَدوُّهُ .³

4028.Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Man’s stomach is his enemy.’⁴

4029.الإمامُ الجوادُ عليه السلام : قَد عاداكَ مَن سَتَرَ عَنكَ الرُّشدَ اتِّباعاً لِما تَهواهُ .⁵

4029.Imam al-Jawad (AS) said, ‘He who conceals [the path] of proper conduct from you in making you follow that which you desire is indeed your enemy.’⁶

1232 - بَذرُ العَداوَةِ

1232. THE SEED OF ENMITY

4026.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام: عِلَّةُ المُعاداةِ قِلَّةُ المُبالاةِ .¹

4026.Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘The cause of enmity is lack of consideration [for others].’²

4027.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام : لِكُلِّ شَي‏ءٍ بَذرٌ وبَذرُ العَداوَةِ المِزاحُ .³

4027.Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Everything has a seed, and the seed of enmity is mockery.’⁴
