239 - التَّمييزُ بَينَ الحَقِّ وَالباطِلِ‏

239. Discerning The Truth From Falsehood

791.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام : أمَا إنّه ليسَ بينَ الحقِّ والباطلِ إلّا أربَعُ أصابِعَ ... الباطلُ أنْ تقولَ : سَمِعتُ ، والحقُّ أنْ تقولَ : رَأيْتُ .¹

791.Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Verily, there is nothing between truth and falsehood but a span of four fingers ... Falsehood is to say, 'I heard,' while the truth is to say, 'I saw.' ²

44. FALSEHOOD

238 - التَّحذِيرُ مِنِ اتّباعِ الباطِلِ‏

238. Warning Against Following Falsehood

(وَقُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كانَ زَهُوقاً) .¹

"And say, 'The truth has come, and falsehood has vanished. Indeed falsehood is bound to vanish." ²

(بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَى‏ الْبَاطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ وَلَكُمُ الْوَيْلُ مِمّا تَصِفُونَ) .³

"Rather We hurl the truth against falsehood, and it crushes its head, and behold, falsehood vanishes! And woe to you for what you allege [about Allah]." ⁴

787.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام : الباطِلُ غَرورٌ خادِعٌ .⁵

787.Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Falsehood is a deceiving deluder.' ⁶

788.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام : فَلأَنقُبَنّ الباطِلَ حتّى‏ يَخرُجَ الحقُّ مِن جَنْبِهِ .⁷

788.Imam Ali (AS) said, 'I will rip falsehood open, until the truth emerges from its belly.' ⁸

789.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام : الحقُّ طريقُ الجنّةِ ، والباطلُ طريقُ النّارِ، وعلى‏ كُلِّ طريقٍ داعٍ .⁹

789.Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Truth is the road to Paradise, and falsehood is the road to Hell; and on each road there is a caller [calling to it].' ¹⁰

790.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام : ظَلَمَ الحقَّ مَنْ نَصرَ الباطلَ .¹¹

790.Imam Ali (AS) said, 'He who supports falsehood oppresses the truth.' ¹²
