1597 - إكرامُ النّاسِ إكرامُ النَّفسِ
1597. HONOURING PEOPLE IS HONOURING
5518.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام : إنَّ مَكرُمَةً صَنَعتَها إلى أحَدٍ مِن النّاسِ إنّما أكرَمتَ بها نفسَكَ وزَيَّنتَ بها عِرضَكَ ، فلا تَطلُبْ مِن غيرِكَ شُكرَ ما صَنَعتَ إلى نفسِكَ .1
5518.Imam Ali (AS) said, 'A kind deed you do for a person is kindness done towards yourself, and with which you decorate your own honour. So, do not seek thanks from someone else for what you have done for yourself.' 2
5519.الإمامُ عليٌّ عليه السلام : عَوِّدْ نفسَكَ فِعلَ المَكارِمِ ، وتَحَمُّلَ أعباءِ المَغارِمِ ، تَشرُفْ نفسُكَ .3
5519.Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Habituate yourself to performing noble deeds and paying the debts of others, and your self will be noble.' 4
