Shiite Hadith Sources of the Early Three Centuries concerning the Twelve Imams

Mohammad Reza Vahabi

Belief in twelve Imams and successors of the Prophet is considered as one of the most significant beliefs of Shi`a. This belief stems from a considerable amount of hadiths found in hadith sources of the fourth and fifth centuries A.H. Due to lack of access to old sources some claimed that belief in twelve Imams has later been added to the body of Shia creed.
The author of the present paper first tries to prove the being of hadiths concerning twelve Imams in some of the hadith sources of the early three centuries. He then, introduces some other old sources containing hadiths in this regard, using techniques of finding source through isnads.

Types of Human Body and Their Role in the this World, Intermediate World, and the Resurrection Day

Ali Afzali, Ph.D

The creation of human body and its existence in the hereafter has always been one of the most debating issues of religious teachings among religious men and those who are interested in these issues. According to the Islamic teachings which are based on the Holy Quran and hadith, God has created man from an extract of clay and then into a perfect human body. The author of the present paper argues that in addition to these two bodies (from clay and from semen) there is a third body for him that is not visible and tangible in ordinary conditions. Human body will decay after death but his body which is from an extract of clay does not decay or get consumed by earth and will remain. His spirit will spend the intermediate world with his ideal body and then on the Resurrection Day his clay body will be alive along with his spirit.
Key Words: Man, Symbolic Body, Preexistence World, Intermediate World, the Day of Resurrection.
