وَقَالَ (عليه السلام):
Amir al-mu'minin, peace be upon him, said:
يَأْتِى عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ
Shortly a time will come for people
لَا يُقَرَّبُ فِيهِ إِلَّا الْمَاحِلُ
when high positions will be given only to those who defame others,
وَ لَا يُظَرَّفُ فِيهِ إِلَّا الْفَاجِرُ
when vicious people will be regarded as witty
وَ لَا يُضَعَّفُ فِيهِ إِلَّا الْمُنْصِفُ
and the just will be regarded as weak.
يَعُدُّونَ الصَّدَقَةَ فِيهِ غُرْماً
People will regard charity as a loss,
وَ صِلَةَ الرَّحِمِ مَنّاً
consideration for kinship as an obligation,
وَ الْعِبَادَةَ اسْتِطَالَةً عَلَى النَّاسِ
and worship grounds for claiming greatness among others.
فَعِنْدَ ذَلِكَ يَكُونُ السُّلْطَانُ بِمَشُورَةِ النِّسَاءِ
At this time, authority will be exercised through the counsel of women,
وَ إِمَارَةِ الصِّبْيَانِ
the posting of young boys in high positions
وَ تَدْبِيرِ الْخِصْيَانِ .
and the running of the administration by eunuchs.
