وَقَالَ (عليه السلام):
Amir al-mu'minin, peace be upon him, said:
عَلامةُ الاْيمَانِ
Belief means
أَنْ تُؤثِرَ
you should prefer
الصِّدْقَ
truth
حَيْثُ يَضُرُّكَ
when it harms you
عَلَى الْكَذِبِ
rather than falsehood
حَيْثُ يَنْفَعُكَ،
when it benefits you;
أَنْ يَكُونَ فِي حَديِثِكَ فَضْلٌ عَنْ عِلْمِكَ
your words should not be more than your action
وَأَنْ تَتَّقِيَ اللهَ فِي حَدِيثِ غَيْرِكَ.
and you should fear Allah when speaking about others.
