Selections from The Sayings and Preaching of Amir al-Muminin Ali ibn Abi Talib (Peace Be Upon Him) Including His Replies to Questions and Maxims Expressed for Various Purposes.
Translated by Sayyid Ali Reza

Amir al-mu'minin, peace be upon him, said:

That good is no good after which there is the Fire,

and that hardship is no hardship after which there is Paradise.

Every bliss other than Paradise is inferior and every calamity other than the Fire is comfort.
